Welcome to the rfour.org Confirmation Lesson Plan page. Below are 24 free and downloadable lessons. The lessons are designed for a 1 hour and 15 minute class, once a week for the duration of one school year. However, if you keep the opening activity to 10 minutes and remove the snack time, then you can easily fit each lesson into one hour.
The lessons are arranged in order, each building upon the previous. Each lesson
includes a number of components: An opening activity, a review from the previous
weeks, a Challenge of the week section and the scripture lesson. The scripture lessons
are almost exclusively Jesus-
Here at rfour.org, Confirmation is understood to be not the conclusion of, or the graduation from, Christian education life, but the beginning of Christian discipleship. And, in order to choose to be a disciple of Christ, one must know what it means to be a disciple. Thus, the rfour.org confirmation lessons center around this area of interest.
Here are some core questions about choosing to be a disciple of Jesus that the lessons below attempt to address: Why should I follow Jesus? How do I follow Jesus? What would I do as a disciple? What's the role of the church in this whole discipleship thing? Is there anything beyond being a disciple?
